Internships (Part-time or Full-time)

We are always looking for part-time or full-time (summer) Interns (Innovation Intelligence or Financial Analysis) to assist in the research and analysis of data in support of our innovation intelligence and financial analytics service offerings (R&D, IP, and VC/PE investment) 

 Key Responsibilities includes: 

  • Assist Analysts and Senior team members in researching and analyzing business intelligence data pursuant to client engagement objectives using a variety of data analytics tool platforms 
  • Assist in preparing metrics, graphs, and other visualizations for PowerPoint presentations 
  • Assist in researching and preparing summaries of business and industry ecosystems and other relevant information to client engagement objectives 

 Educational Background and Experience 

  • Currently pursuing B.S. in science-related or engineering or finance disciplines, preferably having completed Sophomore or Junior Year for Summer Internships 
  • Ability to work 10 – 15 hours per week for part-time interns, full-time during Summer Internships on a remote basis 
  • Our part-time and full-time interns are compensated on an hourly basis at a competitive rate adjusted for background and experience 

Analysts – Business Intelligence

Responsibilities 

  • Under the guidance of the Senior Analysts and other project leaders, the Business Intelligence Analyst focuses on researching and analyzing various corporate finance and investment data consistent with the client project engagement objectives using a variety open-source subscription and non-subscription data sources and platforms 
  • Research and analyze business & industry ecosystem regarding project client engagement needs 
  • Research and analyze relevant corporate financial information, and prepare relevant metrics, graphs and other visualizations 
  • Research and analyze relevant VC/PE and/or M&A investment activity within client engagement ecosystem, and prepare relevant metrics, graphs and other visualizations 

Educational Background and Experience 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business/Finance, Data Analytics, Economics or related field preferred  
  • 0 – 2 years’ experience in consulting or corporate setting, including any internships 
  • Background knowledge of financial statement analysis and VC/PE investment transactions 
  • Background knowledge in data analytics and visualizations with various tools and platforms (e.g., MS Power BI, Tableau, MatLab, etc.) preferred  
  • Fluent knowledge of Office platform tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, CoPilot, etc) 
  • High degree of enthusiasm to learn and/or further develop these and other skills  
  • Some background knowledge and high affinity for researching emerging deep-tech companies and the related investor ecosystems 
  • Strong communication skills including verbal, written and presentation  

Compensation and Working Conditions 

  • DAI offers a competitive compensation package 
  • Position is Full-Time and generally Remote, with some travel necessary to client sites or occasional internal company meetings. 

Senior Analyst – Innovation Assessment & Strategy

Our Senior Analysts – Innovation Assessment & Strategy oversee and analyze innovation intelligence (R&D, IP, and VC/PE investment) to support advising clients on optimal strategies for their business objectives.  The Senior Analysts support engagement leadership as well as manage small project teams (3 to 5 individuals) including Analysts and Interns. 

Key Responsibilities for this position include: 

  • Conduct innovation strategy analysis using a variety of data analytics tool platforms incorporating IP, R&D, Scientific Literature, and VC/PE investment data 
  • Develop PowerPoint or other presentations to communicate with client stakeholders 
  • Help to synthesize the analytical bridges between technology ecosystem & innovation trajectories with related business intelligence to identify strategy recommendations 
  • Understand, manage, and independently deliver workproduct tailored to client stakeholders needs and analytical requirements 
  • Manage/Train smaller project teams of Analysts (both Technology Assessment & Business/Financial) and Interns to execute appropriate analyses according to project plan 

Desired education and experience include: 

  • B.S. in science or engineering discipline required 
  • Master’s degree in science, engineering, MBA, finance, economics, or related field preferred 
  • 3 – 5 years’ experience in consulting environment (transaction or strategy advisory), and/or VC/PE, or entrepreneurial environment with deep-tech start-up 
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills 
  • Strong financial acumen high proficiency in financial and analytical modeling skills 
  • Strong organizational and time management skills demonstrated initiative and ability to work independently 
  • Strong team player and project management capabilities 
  • Industry awareness in one or more deep-tech emerging realms (e.g., AI, Quantum, AR/VR, Synthetic Biology, Advanced Communications, etc.) 
  • Demonstrated enthusiasm for continuous learning in deep-tech innovation and strategy, including R&D strategy, Technology Forecasting, and Innovation Portfolio Strategy 
  • Entrepreneurial spirit and desire to participate in a fast-paced and growing environment 

Compensation and Work Environment 

  • We offer a competitive compensation package influenced by experience and background. 
  • Position is full-time, and Hybrid in nature.   Periodic engagement related travel for diligence and work-product presentations may be required. 

Digital Media Editor

We are looking for a social-media-savvy digital editor to help create and manage quality digital content and layouts on all social media platforms. You will also be required to collaborate with staff members and understand marketing related key relationship drivers with our unique client base. 

Digital Media Editor Responsibilities: 

  • Helping to brain-storm, create and coordinate with staff on digital marketing content for web publishing on various internet platforms. 
  • Delegating tasks to in-house staff for content assistance as appropriate. 
  • Monitoring and supervising tasks to ensure that deadlines are met. 
  • Checking written content for accuracy and cogency, using the relevant tools and platforms. 
  • Creating and editing relevant images, podcasts, and videos for presentation on the web with assistance from relevant specialty staff. 
  • Collaborating with staff to come up with appealing content. 
  • Maintaining quality across web platforms in order to increase brand visibility. 
  • Monitoring SEO and other social media metrics for trends and feedback relevant to our business and marketing objectives, and recommend strategies to enhance successful outcomes. 
  • Tracking new developments in Generative AI tools for continuously improving our content and distribution to maximize successful marketing efforts. 

Education and Experience Requirements: 

  • A bachelor’s degree with relevant major (e.g. English, Communications, Journalism, Digital Media) is preferred, but not necessarily required 
  • 1 – 3 years’ experience in similar roles writing, producing, and editing for the web, however new graduates will also be considered. 
  • A high level of computer and software literacy, including traditional and Generative AI digital tools and platforms. 
  • In-depth knowledge of social media platforms and SEO best practices. 
  • The ability to analyze client audience interests, marketing campaign response metrics and to drive successful marketing efforts. 
  • Excellent copywriting, proofreading, and editing skills. 
  • A high degree of enthusiasm, versatility, and the ability to work co-operatively in an entrepreneurial environment.
